Vintage Oil Painting!
Dark and dramatic oil painting on board dating to the 1970's. Composition depicts the entryway facade of a grey stone building with beautiful arches, masonry elements and a simple identifying number five. The wooden doors and leafy trees are composed in the same shade of burnt umber, adding appealing contrast to the moody gray color hues. The brush strokes are extremely textured and layered, with the intensity varying with the angle and light. Painting has been surrounded by a custom gold gallery wood frame.
Framed: 18 1/2" wide by 21 1/2" tall
Painting is in very nice vintage condition, with a bit of minimal surface wear, appropriate for age. Painting is quite textured, and may have been completed overtop of a previous composition, although difficult to discern for certain. Painting is surrounded in a custom, gold gallery frame, with the back wired for ease of hanging.
