Large Vintage Landscape Oil Painting!
Bucolic pastoral landscape oil painting, aptly titled "Lush Meadow" and signed by the artist, Peggy Goebel, in the lower right corner. Dating to 1949, this lovely composition is full of rustic charm depicting grazing cows, rich green fields, a small creek and a simple farmhouse. Painting does show signs of aging, with craquelure, spots of discoloration and wear to oil. A delightful painting that is surrounded in the original walnut frame with gold detailing.
Framed: 25 1/4 wide by 22 1/4" tall
Painting is an oil on canvas that has a rustic, aged aesthetic. There are areas of craquelure throughout, but most prominently along the top portion, throughout the sky. There are also areas of discoloration and a few small areas where the paint has flaked. Also, the canvas is a bit loose/wavy in the top right corner. Frame has age appropriate wear but presents very nicely.
