Small Vintage Landscape!
Splendid impressionist oil painting portraying a picturesque late fall landscape. A vibrant blue river is visible through the tall bare trees, while glimpses of appealing golden foliage line the banks of the opposing shoreline. The artist used thick, dense brush strokes with visible globs of paint, to give liveliness and energy to a chilling scene. The color palette is cool and crisp with small pops of orange and yellow providing a welcoming warmth.
Framed: 15" tall by 11 1/2" wide
Painting is an unsigned, oil on artists' cardboard. Painting is in very nice condition for age, with a few minimal surface marks and a bit of light patina to oil. Painting has been custom framed with a bright gold gallery frame, with visible marks to mimic the appearance of gold leafing.
