Large Vintage Oil Painting!
Fabulous original mid-century signed oil painting depicting fishing boats on a beach with the deep blue sea beyond. Similar in subject and style to the series Monet completed of "Boats on the Beach at Etretat" the viewpoint of this composition is at eye-level ,allowing the boats a prominent position. The color palette, comprised mostly of primary colors, remains bold and vibrant, while the brushstrokes and palette knife work are thick and textured. Painting has been signed by the artist in the lower left corner and has been custom framed.
Framed: 31" wide by 21 1/4" tall
Painting is an oil on hardboard, signed by the artist in the lower left corner. An estate find, painting is in very nice condition, with age appropriate spots of surface wear and patina to the surface of oil. Painting has been custom framed and the back is wired for ease of hanging.
